Bravissimo Dino Beganovic!

A great start to the 2026 Formula 2 season for Sweden. Ferrari junior Dino Beganovic took pole position in the opening qualifying session in Melbourne, delivering a strong lap at the very end of the session. The DAMS driver set a time of 1:28.695, securing the first pole of the year at Albert Park.
After a session with interruptions and two red flags, everything was decided in the final minutes when the whole field went out for one last attempt. Beganovic stayed calm and delivered when it mattered most. His lap was enough to beat Rodin Motorsport drivers Martinius Stenshorne and Alex Dunne, who completed the top three.
For Swedish motorsport this is an exciting start to the season. Beganovic, part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, continues to show strong potential and begins his F2 campaign in the best possible way with two championship points for pole position. Now the focus shifts to the races in Melbourne, where Beganovic will start from the very front of the grid in the Feature Race.
